Hello! I am a PhD student in the Department of Political Science at the University of Washington, Seattle. My research sits at the intersection of conflict studies and quantitative methodology, with a substantive focus on the political and military consequences of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technology and artificial intelligence. I am particularly interested in how emerging technology alters military strategies, and how these changes impact civilians in conflict. My recent work has focused on evaluating drone warfare in counterterrorism contexts and understanding the effectiveness of mass drone strikes in conventional war. I employ Bayesian and spatio-temporal methods to answer these questions, drawing on insights from political science, statistics, and security studies.

Prior to beginning my PhD, I served as a Presidential Management Fellow at the Department of Defense, with rotations at Space Systems Command and the Center for Army Analysis. I hold an M.A. in Global Policy Studies and Statistics from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin and a B.A. in Arabic and Peace, War, and Defense from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
